777 project from Hans G. Schuetz.

February 2006! After a real long time of no progress, I'm more than lucky to start the new year with a very nice product: the fire handles from Simzation! Boy Bruin sent over a set of three handles and here are the pictures!

Simply click on the pictures, to open an 850 x 567 pixel sized view of the corresponding picture!

Fire handles

Here are the beauties! The look and feel is awesome. A good combination of solid work and ease of use for the simbuilder. Boy will put a downloadable documentation of the handles on his website very soon!!

The four screws on top of the black box can be used to mount the handles on the panel.

Of course the levers have LEDs inside. So the handle light up and you see the light thru the transparent lens caps. Look at the next photos ...

Fire handles pulled and turned

Simply pull and turn ...

Like the original fire handles you need to pull the lever first, and then turn it either to left or right.

On the picture left you can see the lever in its off position, as well as pulled and turned. Have an eye at the mechanism. The tiny little bolt is used to press a micro switch after pulling the lever. Connect this switch to your IO-card, and you know when the lever is pulled. The rotary switch on the bottom of the black housing is used to sense the left or right position of the rotated handle.

Back to history!
