777 project from Hans G. Schuetz.

It took me a long time to get hands on all parts i need to link both my control columns with the crossover linkage. Now, thanks to Jim Doyle, I have all of them! Please read more about them, and see some new photos!

Simply click on the pictures, to open an 850 x 567 pixel sized view of the corresponding picture!

Crossover quadrant

Crossover quadrant

Here is the crossover quadrant, which links the pilots and co-pilots column!

This part is located under the cockpit floor, and is connected with a lot of steel-wires for input transmission!

Crossover quadrant

Here another shot of the quadrant. Have a look at the gears. They are important, to connect the linkage with the columns. See more pictures later on.

Here is a close up of the lower part of the quadrant! I will take it apart later on to make it smaller. I have to take care about it's size, because i have to build a wooden frame below cockpit floor, and I don't want it to be too huge!

All necessary parts

Here you see all the necessary parts to connect the first officer column to the linkage.

From left to right: control column, coupling with clamps and linkage. The coupling is very important, because the whole unit will be mounted into bearings with this part later on.

I have all those parts twice to connect the pilot column too!

This is another angle of all the important parts!

Close up

Have a look at this close up! This is the coupling which is used to connect the linkage to the column.

See how the clamps are used, to keep all the parts together.

Thanks to the team of Mueller-Wilde, who helped me to find the right screws!

Connected parts

Connected parts

This is how it looks like, when the crossover quadrant is connected to the column with the coupling and clamps. It is unbelievable how strong the connection is!

Completed column unit

This is how the complete unit looks when both the columns and the yokes are put together!

The dust cover of the F/O side is not installed yet to show the connection in a better way!
