777 project from Hans G. Schuetz.

After picking up my brand new pulleys, I could continue my work on linking both yokes with some steel cable to make them move synchronously!

Simply click on the pictures, to open an 850 x 567 pixel sized view of the corresponding picture!

Pulley

Pulley with thread

Here is one of the two pulleys! They have a thread, to support the 3 mm steel cable. Now the cable cannot overlap each other accidentially!

The pulley is mounted on an aluminium tube with a diameter of 28 mm and a length of 1 m! The pulley has a diameter of about 12.5 cm in the middle, and 13 cm outside!

Tube and column unit

Here is a shot where you can see how the tube is inserted in the column, and fixed with the original Boeing bolt!

This picture shows the first officer column, the pulley with the steel cable. To keep the steel cable in tension and to give me the capability to adjust the yokes, I'm using two turnbuckles.

Turnbuckle

Here you see the turnbuckles! They are necessary to adjust the tension of the steel cable!

This is a close up to show the needle bearing who supports the tube to avoid bending because of the tension!

Completed unit

Here is the finished unit! Believe me: It's amazing when you move one yoke, and the other is doing the same!!! :-))

Thanks to the team of Wienwork, who are producing my pulleys!
